0B8F6F42-F864-45C1-8FFA-0F21BDF98032.jpegThis has been all over the usual military news sources the last few days. The Thunderbirds flew into Pensacola, and joint training runs are happening. Apparently they are going on a joint tour to salute healthcare workers. Flyovers, not shows.

I have only found individual snippets of video taken by the air show spotter crowd. You know there will be cool, well-produced, make your chest swell with pride videos from official sources at some point.

CHALLENGE: Scour the net for unofficial video clips to give us a taste! Bonus points for sound track of jet roar.

If they did Newark/NYC yesterday then it was missed by the press and everyone that I know.
Zero mentions/pictures on social media.

One article talked about new smoke colors. Gives us something to look forward to.

I wish they had included Phoenix/Tucson area, lots of military here, then they could have just headed South and done a flyover Ft. Huachuca (8 mins from us). If only.... Happy to see that people will get to experience it.

The Blues always have a 2-day advance warning before flyovers. I would expect The Thunderbirds would be the same. If either one of the teams fly over your city, you'll know about it at least a day in advance.

Well the list (above) says that they flew Newark and NYC yesterday and there was not mentions of anyone having seen it.

I just saw a update on social media. April 28th for the NY/NJ area. Will try to find the press release so I can post the link as they do provide further details with estimated times and duration of flight.

My oldest son is in school at Pensacola as enlisted Navy. Happy as a clam. We hope to visit him soon and hope to catch the Blue Angels.

Obviously you don't live near any airfield. I live under the flight path of both Baltimore-Washington International and Andrews AFB; been enjoying the quiet of the past few weeks.
I'm pretty close to Dulles... and a regional airport, but the sound of jets.... especially in DC, has a different sound than a 737.... and in DC.... you think something is happening.

Major Michelle Curran (Lead Solo Thunderbird pilot) meets 7-year-old Amelia (also an aspiring pilot) for the first time.

Amelia becomes "Thunderbird for a day"
