Orientation 2013

Yeah, I should have an online quiz to do tomorrow and Tuesday plus an English assignment to type for Wednesday morning. I wasn't really expecting to be able to get internet during orientation but there's the hotel and the airport.
 
ya, you cant access the internet at the academy with a regular computer. If its not a computer they issue you, you wont be able to get on the server since its a government server and protected
 
2nd Orientation

Well me and my family got here yesterday and are getting really exited about the orientation tomorrow. We're staying at the Embassy Suites on Commerce and were probably going to check out the town today. Anyone know any good spots to check out while we have time or anyone staying in the Commerce Center Drive hotels so maybe we can meet up and meet each other?

Oh and I read that socks were included with boots but I saw on another thread that we had to pay extra. Do we know if socks come with or not?

It may be a bit muddy and wet for a walk around Garden of the Gods, but perhaps a drive by with the sun and snow would be sufficient :thumb: Beautiful day today after a very strange few days :biggrin:

I got two pairs of socks for free with the boots at first orientation, but some other appointees said they didn't, so I really don't know for sure.

I was able to use a cadet's laptop when she was working on other homework, but don't assume you'll have access to one. All of the classes are very reliant on email and powerpoints.
 
Sitting in the COS airport waiting to fly home right now :( . I had a blast finally meeting all of yall there. Too bad next time we're there will be hell :p.
 
Any final advice from those who went to either 1st or 2nd orientation for those going to third orientation?
