Orientation 2013

Typical choices in the past have been:
Olive Garden
Famous Dave's
Biaggi's
Ted's Montana Grill
Red Robin
California Pizza Kitchen
Old Chicago's
TGIF
 
we went to Ted's Montana and Biaggi's which were quite good. I think either ryan or cranordon weren't going to have a car and were staying at the Academy Hotel, so it would have to be within walking distance for them. Ted's PF Chang's and Biaggi's is one exit north on I-25 of there isn't it?

Yes they are. But again, us cadets that are 2 digs have cars to help out, and others will too. Shouldn't be a problem, certainly hasn't been in the last 3 years.
 
Nooooo! The "20 - 21 April" is catching up to us! Common, guys, can't let them beat us in size!!
 
Well thats awesome that you guys are willing to give up time on a weekend to drive us to the restaurant we decide lol. But I am definitely looking forward to this big dinner. I have no real say in the place tho, cuz i'm not too familiar with the area like Sam is. and obviously the cadets.

and Pdub, imagine how the last session feels :p
 
Just out of curiosity, are most appointees going with their parents? I'm going to be alone, but I guess it doesn't really matter.

yeah, the last session... everyone just wants to get there as soon as possible! (at least that's the case for me)

agreed. whats your favorite restaurant out there hornet? and other cadets who will be joining us?
 
I like them all, I'm not very picky. Best ones that are right outside south gate (for those staying right there) are Olive Garden, Famous Dave's, and Red Robin.

At woodman where the other major hotels are is TGIF and Old C's.

At Briargate about 1/3 the way between the south and north gates are Biaggi's, CPK, P.F Chang's, Ted's, and Champps.
 
Our favorite is The Elephant Bar Restaurant -- VERY yummy!!!

Ahhh, I'm jeolous! Save room for dessert, Hornet! They are COLOSSAL!!! I remember when our desserts arrived the chief said, "Now you know why we're called the ELEPHANT bar"...HUGE desserts! :smile:
 
what kind of food is that? big enough to have 20 people?
 
Plenty big, btown. I would make reservations though just to make sure.
