Hi,

First post here but I have been reading for a few weeks. I am wondering if USNA and the other academies have an orientation program like AFA? I have applied to USNA and USMMA and was not sure if this is the case for all of the academies.

Not sure of the protocol so I am posting this in the USMMA area too.

Thanks!

For USNA there is no orientation period. They seem to use NASS and CVW. I think USAFA has some for appointed candidates. I think they have them in April? I-Day is the orientation for USNA:eek:. Don't know about the rest.

iront,

I asked the exact same question a few weeks ago. The USNA Candidate Visitation Weekend (CVW) is the closest you get to Orientation. You get to spend two nights at USNA, and shadow a mid for day. Ask your Regional Director about it. They'll usually offer it to competitive candidates.
