So if a school covers R & B and you have a four year... what other fees may there be?
 
My son had corp of cadet uniforms that were not covered by tuituon or room and board. First year cost was $2200
 
Technology fees, health care and others. It will vary by college and curricula. You can probably find them by adding 'fee' to the name of the school you're interested in to a google search. . Or search the colleges web site directly.
 
and, at least for NROTC, the scholarship pays any school imposed mandatory fees. If you are logging flight hours through your university, those are not covered and I could see if you were taking a course that was not requited that had some sort of equipment or facilities fees, those may not be covered.
 
Fees can be huge. Sone Colleges have frozen tuition because of all the scrutiny....but fees are over and above and mandatory and have gone up substantially. Fees vary widely by college and by degree even within the same school.
 
Additional fees for my DD (Spring 2020) included: Technology fee $84; Student activity fee $175; Fine arts material fee $90. If you need to purchase health insurance, that can cost over $2k for the year.
 
My son, at an SMC, now that he has all his uniforms pay $300 a year for his parking permit.
Nothing else unless he gets fined for something.
$10 if your room is unlocked and no one is inside.
