Twice now we have spent most of our weekends at the Panamerican Hotel on Queens Blvd. I think it's in Flushing.You'll find it on the internet if you type those words in. If you drive to NY or rent a car, parking is free and KP is about 25 minutes away. If you fly into La Guardia, the pick up is free to the hotel and only $5 to the airport. It's a place to stay, not upscale but at $99 a night and add maybe *$20 for taxes it's still pretty darn cheap. I'd go there again in a heart beat.
