I just wanted to take a moment to say, as so many others have, what a pleasant and painless experience it has been working with Mr. Mullen and the DODMERB staff. If , as I have seen in other posts, it is accurate that the website saying that a DD2863 status letter was sent means that my son is medically qualified (I believe it does since his medical status now says Qualified for Unrestricted Line), we could not be more pleased. Any question I have had along the way or any guidance or encouragement we have needed, Mr. Mullen has always been there to make the process go smoothly and to ensure we didn't make any mistakes. We can't thank him enough for his efforts and generosity with his time.

It has been a whirlwind of good news lately as my son is now medically qualified for his NROTC scholarship and he found out this week that he was admitted to Penn State. While it is not his #1 choice, it certainly takes much of the pressure off and we can now look forward to the rest of the admissions process without such a sense of desperation that if he is not admitted, he has nowhere to go.

Again, thank you Mr Mullen and all of those posters for this amazing forum that provides those with little experience in the process invaluable information, always with such a helpful and selfless attitude. I wish all parents and candidates the best of luck in gaining acceptance to their top choices! :thumb:

Sorry, I meant DD2368 letter. A little bit of dyslexia creeping in.

OK Dad, I'm sorry to notify you that YOU are DQ for dyslexia, but the good news is, YES, your son has been determined to MEET medical accession standards:shake: Congrats and glad DoDMERB was able to assist:thumb:
