Hello all,

If I am an active duty Marine, stationed over seas, do I need a letter for Congressional nomination to the Academy? I was sent one, however, it was from the wrong area of California that I am originally from. Thanks for any help.

big THANKS

I appreciate the information, you have no idea. I'm trying to do so much right now with no guidance. Overseas is 9th ESB, 3rd MLG, Camp Hansen, Okinawa Japan. I gotta say this is the place that every Marine enlisted/officer should be stationed first. There is quiet a lot of restrictions here, but it's worth it. We have such camaraderie and we learn exactly how the chain of command works up and down. From here you are very much likely to get a combat deployment or two, see Korea, Australia, Thailand, Philippines, and many more. I couldn't be more blessed.
