Kinda misleading. I am applying to USMA and USNA and I am ready to take my medical exam. I am 5'7 187 which is considered overweight. I play football, I'm a RB and MLB, and I passed my CFA. So there should be no problems? I'm planning on cutting after the season to be able to have better stamina, But the season ends in November. Should I wait to take my exam? WIll I encounter any problems?

You’re going to be fine. Your BMI is 29 and change

From a medical standpoint, weight (too much or too little) is an issue only if you have a medical condition that’s causing it.

In your case, it doesn’t appear like you have a medical condition, disease, illness, etc that’s causing this other than just being a football player.

If DoDMERB DQ’ed applicants just for being thick and big, then none of the service academies would have any lineman.

While you do have to meet height/weight requirements as a cadet/mid, this is administrative in nature and nothing to do with the medical side (again, so long as a medical condition is not the underlying problem).

Dodmerb won’t DQ you, but your weight doesn’t meet academy standards. They will choose whether or not to send you a bmi/tape test form to have a doctor fill out to qualify you. If you don’t pass that you will need a waiver. My son got the tape test form from USAFA and West Point, but USNA chose not to send one. DS had no problem passing the tape test.
