Packing for Summer Seminar

It says to bring a sleeping bad or slumber bag (whatever that is). Do we really need to bring that? I mean, as long as I have something soft to sleep on I'm good. I didn't use the covers at West Point and I'm assuming Air Force will be the same.
my friend just got back from session 2. he said that the sleeping bag is required. i don't know why and i asked the same question you're asking. but if its on the list, bring it... thats what i would do

Well it says that you can bring a slumber bag too, which is basically a fleece sack for summer camping or something. My friend just got back from Session 2 and told me to just bring a blanket.

Bring a sleeping bag. Don't alter the list. They give it to you for a reason. If you bring a blanket, that means you are sleeping directly on the mattress. God knows how dirty that mattress is. I'm glad I brought a sleeping bag, and made sure to do everything I could not to touch that mattress.

Last year I just brought a big blanket, folded it in half, and slept inside it. Worked for me.
