Partial 2018-19 Calendar for Class of 2022

You realize, of course, those are educated guesses, based on previous years. The official calendar comes out in the spring and will be posted on the parent resource page when it's finalized.

Being relatively new to this board, have you seen the Hotel Thayer publish incorrect dates in the past? When did this happen?

I saw a post from last year where an early R-day date was announced using the Thayer Hotel as a reference before the official calendar was published.

Probably correct but as stated not official until published by USMA.
If Thayer will reimburse all your nonrefundable travel expenses then by all means schedule time off and book now on their advice.

The Thayer has been wrong several times in the past 8 years. Dates were changed for graduation for class of 2014; Ring weekend for another class and PPW for another. The Thayer honors its reservations to the best of its ability and just shifts them to the correct dates. Since you're relatively new to the page, you may want to defer to ^^ she's been around the block a few times.

The date for Rday is most likely right. The draft schedule for cadet summer training shows this as well.

I will say this with the UTMOST respect because one day you may regret your choice of words: be careful of how you address some of the "older" members of these forums. You SERIOUSLY have no idea who you may or may not be speaking to and what kind of knowledge they have. I am a 2021 parent and the last year my mind has been blown and my mouth has been shut more times than you can ever imagine, and I am VERY VERY grateful for the lessons learned from those who knew a little ( or more often ALOT) more than me and kindly redirected me.

Absolutely incredible! USMAPS published the R-Day date back in October. I guess they should have received approval with certain helicopter parents on this board before posting it...lol...

Excuse me,

But I happen to have received tremendous help from some of these “helicopter parents.” They are on these forums not only because they love their DSs, DDs, DHs, and DWs, but because they want the best for the future generations of service members as well.

You won’t gain anything from disrespecting them. Keep this to yourself...it’s rude and these parents don’t deserve that kind of crap after all the work they’re putting in raising military kids.

Point proven.
Thayer is not the official resource for official USMA dates. While you would assume that they communicate with Admissions and other important offices, they are not the final resource for dates. So if you get your appointment , feel free to have your PARENTS book your non-refundable, excessive change fee flight based solely on the THAYER CALENDAR. Take no thought to the "helicopter parents" who are parents of Current and your future cadre, your RC, and people who have tremendous knowledge and wealth of information. It's ok. "FYI" me.

Even the official calendar isn't official. It changes according to the needs (whims?) of the Army, often at the last minute. But R-Day is carved in stone.

I've earned a PhD in getting out of airline fees because of calendar changes.

Hi all - as a representative from The Thayer Hotel I can guarantee we get all of our date information from a point of contact at The Academy. We do not make any educated guesses, we only post information that has been confirmed accurate from USMA. If for whatever reason dates were adjusted with The Academy, we would always accommodate and refund/adjust accordingly. The only things that are subject to change are anything regarding timing as USMA has adjusted day-of schedules in the past re: Plebe Parent Weekend/Graduation Activities. Congratulations to all of those accepted!!!
