Passing CFA Scores

I thought I'd create this thread about passing CFA scores because I haven't seen one quite like this. I know myself and a few other applicants that I know are worried about passing the test and knowing whether or not we passed.

I am going to take the test in one week and have been practicing extensively (so please don't comment things telling me how late I am, etc.) but it is difficult to know where I will rank considering I am not near maximums in all categories.

Because USNA only publishes official maximums for the test, I was wondering if any accepted applicants would be willing to share their scores below (commenting also your gender of course). This is in no way trying to find minimums, because I know these are not officially posted for a reason, but rather a way to have a sense of what they are looking for in terms of scores.

USNA tells you if you've failed and your BGO can also tell you if you passed/failed. CFA's aren't considered in a vacuum. For a candidate with little/no sports during h.s., the CFA is really important and USNA might look for higher scores than someone who is involved in organized sports. So, you can compare but I wouldn't draw too much from the answers you get.

Also, you can get bonus points on your Whole Person Multiple if you score higher than "average," especially on certain events. So it pays to do your best, which I'm sure everyone is trying to do.

This makes me feel a lot better. Thank you for explaining this! What is considered little sports. I was on Varsity swimming for the past two years and Varsity basketball during junior year. I may play V soccer this year.

None of us know the exact formula. It's great you have some sports. That is good. You are over thinking this. If you are doing this one week from now, your time is better spent practicing than writing questions none of us can answer. The key is to practice the test just like you would for score. So many candidates do it in pieces and then get to the run and have zero left in the tank. Give it your all and keep training. If you fail you will be notified. If you pass and get an appointment and are struggling with the CFA you are behind the curve for USNA. The PRT standards and higher than the CFA. It will also make Plebe Summer much harder if you are struggling physically. Good luck!
