Percentage?

If the appointments are coming out this week, you have to assume that some of these people are going other places(e.g., Naval Acad, other civ schools, etc...). Has anyone ever seen stats on the number who would actually accept and enter. Those who do not accept would account for others getting an opportunity later in the Spring.
 
Blake you sound just like me! I'm on these forums and my portal all day long!
 
If info is correct, and dates are similar to last year, the portal update would be in Wednesday. Wouldn't you think?
 
i hope all these hopeful people, including myself, will be earning appointments soon!

Don't take too much stock in this because I'm not 100% sure, but I read somewhere that appointments always go live on portals Wednesday/Thursday. Good luck to everyone though!

For the Class of 2017:
-Offers of Admission: 1475
-Total Admitted: 1190

So last year, 285 appointees turned down their appointment.
 
I didn't get anything today either, this is literally killing me! Maybe tomorrow? For some reason I've seen many people under the impression that the portals update on Tuesdays? Idk I just want that appointment letter so bad!

I only ask this because the Academy itself said that all decisions have been made, and they are just waiting on approval to release them.

Last year I got declined around the beginning of April, than received and accepted the Falcon Foundation scholarship in early May.

This year I was notified mid February.. big difference!

Good luck, can't wait to see all the incoming on the USAFA 2018 Appointed FB page.

My friend got a call from the congressional office that he was accepted to USAFA today. He is from OR-03 (Oregon coast) So I assume ya'll should be getting good news by end of this week or next week. (Im not an USAFA applicant). :smile:
 
My congresswoman called me to notify that I am going to be offered an appointment and said that appointment letters and portal updates will happen on the 20th.
