Peanut Allergies in Army ROTC

I was awarded a 3 year Army ROTC Nursing scholarship. However, I had to submit a waiver due to a peanut allergy. I have been waiting almost 2 months already for my waiver. If my allergy is severe is that a definite DQ? Since there is nothing I can do for the allergy, what can be done? How would I be able to keep my scholarship? Will my military career be over- or would I be able to still participate in the army ROTC/ enlist later on?

Hi! I just wanted to let you know that I have a friend who had a severe peanut allergy and received a waiver and appointment to USMA, and he also won a AROTC scholarship. So it is definitely possible!
