Percentage of triple qualified candidates receiving a nomination?

They did request that she visit and paid her expenses. With other programs, the question would be would she score points in their conference. I know the academies are different, but she would beat Army in at least 3 events per season. Were I the coach, that would make her a must have.

Based on her academics, she would get in track or no, but wouldn't get an appointment, if that makes any sense. She is in their upper 50% grades and SATs but not good enough based on what I have seen on this forum.

I don't want her to piss Navy off by applying to USMA, but I am having a hard time with the continued uncertainty.

You DD should do what is best for her, and keep her options open. Applying to USMA will not piss of Navy, they probably will never know. I would be very interesting to see the expression on the Navy coach when she beats them in 3 events per season for Army.

Being retired army, part of me would agree, but I really liked the naval academy and its coaches so hope it works out for her. She was also being recruited by two other schools in the patriot league who wanted her but not enough to commit scholarship money. They are the ones I really want to see her beat on a regular basis!
