Over the last year, one of my gums started to receed a little, and my dentist suggested that I have it looked at. So I did, and last Thursday the periodontist performed a simple surgery that invovled grafting some skin from the roof of my mouth to place over the gum-loss site. Nothing big, not too painful.

Now, my question is this: They gave me a couple perscription medications, one being a steroid to stop swelling. Should I call DoDMERB this close to I-Day, or take all the paperwork with me when I report and give it to them then?

Demix, your pix cracks me up. If I were you, I'd call the academy first to ask them. I wouldn't touch Dodmerb with a ten foot pole at this stage of the game.

Ditto. I talked to my recruiter when I was on medication before I joined. I'm guessing this is the equivalent of future ossifers.

Bring your Rx when you report. I, too, wouldn't so much as look at DODMERB.

The best place to ask is the Academy itself.

Ok, I called the Medical Liason at USNA this morning. She said to send all documentation in by mail. I'm also going to bring all the info with me on I-Day.

Now, this thought didn't occur to me until I just hung up, but what exactly is "all documentation?" I'm thinking that it's a description of what they did and why, the Rxs they gave and why...Is there any other documentation that I'm forgetting? It doesn't seem like that would be enough. I'm probably just gonna call again in a bit.
