Permanent retainers count as current treatment?

I completed my orthodontic treatment (braces), about 3 years ago, and since then I've had clear retainers I wear at night, as well as top and bottom permanent retainers, glued to the back of my teeth. On the USAFA admissions page, it says I can't be going through current orthodontic treatment. Do the permanent retainers count as that?

Obviously Mr.Mullen is the expert but my son is DoDMERB qualified with both top & bottom permanent retainers & and a removable upper retainer

My son wears retainers at night, it's not been an issue.

I don’t recall if I even thought about my son’s retainers when we did the questionnaire...

It says in the appointee booklet you receive once you accept, retainers are permitted.
