Permit to Report Class 2026

Luckily they have done this many times and algorithms do a lot of the work. Funny enough, when we were shot gunned we had a brother shot gunned to his brother’s company. He was a firstie, so they left them both. Just ensured he wasn’t in the same chain of command or his brother’s room mates. It worked out fine. That same year, I had a 4/C in my squad who was the sister of my squad mate from Plebe Year. It’s a small world. It’s also why those about to start this journey need to learn to never speak ill of someone and always been professional. You never know who are speaking to or their connections.
That’s fun! We have already seen so many great connections. With the shotgun, it is likely that DD will be under (secret) watchful eyes of at least one of DS’s friends. The whole process is an amazing logistical accomplishment!

Still not able to access ABS here. Seems like they updated the site to show the info for '26 but it still isn't working

They said the IT department is looking into the ABS issue and it should be resolved by tomorrow!

Enjoy your last few days of HS or college or NAPS, hang out with friends, don't do anything dumb and run. The system will get opened and you will get things done!

You will quickly learn that you need to embrace the "hurry up and wait" game.

Semper Gumby!

Does anyone know when we get our Alpha code? There are a few forms which ask for our alpha code but we obviously don't have them yet (unless it's our candidate number??)

The PTR website was updated a few days ago with a red note saying that we should disregard the alpha number section on any form.

I had to download that form and open it with adobe, it doesn’t work in the browser.

And as far as I’m aware their is no back page the patient registration form, even though it’s referenced.
We mailed in the 1-page Patient Registration form over the weekend, but today I searched online by the form number and found a copy with the back page (which of course is not included in the link in the PTR). It only had one extra question - whether you have any insurance besides Tricare - plus a line for date and signature. I tried calling Admissions but couldn't get anyone, so we'll probably re-send that version with signature when we mail the vaccine form...

For the address under patient data, should we put USNA's address or our current home address?

I have not received a PTR email. Should I contact someone about this? I had state competitions over the weekend so I am just now seeing the ABS emails however no PTR email. Thank you

It's probably a good idea to contact admissions if you haven't received the email, but the email that went out a week ago didn't contain any information that cannot be found on their website (So you can start of the PTR now). I'm still not sure when they will send out an email containing individuals exact report times.

Has anyone emailed the police record check form? Or is it required to mail it? On the PTR website it says to email it however on the actual police form it says to mail it. Thanks

Must be mailed by agency that completes it. Give SASE with form to local agency. The one we went to was familiar. Cost us $15.

Many states (e.g. Texas) have laws/regulations/rules preventing law enforcement agencies from providing the information on this form. If that is the case, simply inform USNA Admissions of that case via e mail or send a letter (best) to Admissions.

Since my police department wouldn't release info I had to write and sign a letter stating that my local police department wouldn't release records, and send Admissions a PDF of said letter. If you contact Admissions or your regional counselor, they should be able to help you out

We e-mailed admission our personal police records statement.

Only one Police department office can "be issued and shipped " the records in our city also, the earliest slot was end of July, no allowed exceptions. (cost is $50 plus finger print $1 must)
DD best friend's father who is working police department can access her records but unable to sigh, ship or e-mail the document from his department.
,
Explain your condition. Admission will tell you the solution that suits your situation.

w ours we had to have them call USNA bc the didn't believe that they had to send it not us

for my plebe that was the hardest form to deal with last year - she went to many police stations all said no - I think she finally emailed it to someone at the downtown courthouse and this nice lady filled it out and emailed it back to us and we sent it in - she would not mail it - very difficult form for sure. all was well when she showed up for I day.......
