Permit to Report Packet

0700 report time.
Side note for all of you who think you have late graduations- mine's june 29th.

I have a 9:15 and I am at the end of the alphabet. Interesting that no one has a later time. Wonder if they are given out by order of appointment acceptance? or by ssn?

Early graduation here...May 29th...that means a MONTH of keeping son in bubble wrap!

When you show up they will guide you in. If you have a 7:00AM and show up at 6:00AM you will be asked "politely' to get inside. We dropped off early and I went to park the car at the stadium with the camera. By the time I got back MID was gone into the bowels of Alumni Hall. Missed all the great pictures but had a great lunch at the Alumni tent.:thumb:

I was surprised to read that they want the guys to get the HPV series of immunizations, not just the girls. That's something I hadn't anticipated.

Weird because my son's doctor recommended he get it. Said that they said it helps keep guys from being carriers and from unknowingly transmitting it to females.

However, my son is heading to USAFA and it was not recommended for them. When we were at Orientation a couple weeks ago, I asked the Dodmerb reps about it and their recommendation and they had never heard of of it for males. It wasn't on our list of required immunizations so we didn't end up getting it for him. So I'm surprised to hear that it is for Navy.

It is better to report earlier because you will have more gray space to unpack everything and get situated. Never again will there be another weekday where you'll have 2 hours to yourself. If there is one thing PS will teach you, it's to appreciate time. Use it wisely.

That's true. I have twins in the Class of 2013. They had early report times but were half-an-hour apart. They went in together even though one was 30 minutes early. They didn't care. They just take them as they come. The only reason for the dispersed arrivals times is to prevent a huge line outside the Alumni Hall.

Interesting the Sup letter mentioned 17,400 applications this year. Also the HPV can be declined. So makes me wonder if we should do it. Leaning towards not doing it.

Got my packet a few days ago, 8AM report time, not too early not too late. Just right for me!:thumb: Gotta start going through all this paperwork, whew there's a lot!

Has anybody been able to access the Permit to Report package through your CIS page? When son clicks the link it brings up a page that says: "Error 403 Forbidden." Son's packet didn't include the "Midshipman Pay and NFCU application", so he was hoping to get that online.

The link to the Plebe Sponsor Questionnaire has been posted on the CIS page now as well (it works just fine! :thumb:).

We haven't been able to get through to that link either. Thought we'd wait another day or so and then email RD.
