I received an appointment to USNA in Jan, but have not yet accepted the offer. I have heard the the Permit to Report packets are sent out all at once in April, however if I do not accept my appointment until after attending a CVW at the end of April, would I not receive the Permit to Report forms until later in May. In other words, does everyone who is appointed receive the Permit to Report at the same time, regardless of whether/when they accept the offer of appointment?

Have you receive your BFE yet? If I remember correctly, all the Permit to Report paperwork is in that packet. 2019 DS received his BFE within about 10 days of receiving his appointment notification phone call from our Senator last year.

I received the BFE last week, however all the BFE envelope had was the blue USNA folder with the certificate of appointment. No other papers of any kind in the envelope...

If I remember correctly the Permit to Report is released on the portal in April sometime. I do not believe you will have access to it unless you accept your appointment. I am sure with some searching on this site or google you can find most the info that's in there.

Same thing in our house. Not sure when PTR arrives....

I was mistaken. I just double checked the dates, and the Permit to Report packet came in in late February, not with his BFE in December. I believe you will get your PTR before May, the paperwork takes some time to complete. Congratulations on your appointment and good luck!

Somewhat related to permit to report

DS is due for his annual eye exam an a visit to the dentist for a cleaning. Is there anything special he should ask at the appointments?

You will receive a PTR (if they still mail it) after you accept the appointment, regardless when you do it. They will not forget to send it to you.

Kind of along the same lines....the Body Alterations form needs to be signed by a "witness". Does anyone know if that can be witnessed by a parent?
