PFT Date, Interview, and overall NROTC MO Scholarship

I received a class of 2024 NROTC Marine Option scholarship. For the PFT I maxed pullups and situps, my run time was 21 min. I've been training to speed up my run time before reporting to my unit. To do this I have been doing longer runs 5-10 miles, shorter easy runs 2-5 miles, and intervals (mostly 800s and 400s and 1k repeats. I've been trying to hit a weekly mileage between 25-30. Hope this helps

Congrats mate! I have to incorporate sprints into my running routine, which I did for today.

Our unit is using logs propped up at each end with sand bags to allow students to complete crunches without needing an assistant. Best of luck and consider THE Ohio State University's outstanding Marine Option program.

My PFT and Interview is scheduled on opening day of hunting season, you’d think the Marines would know better than to do such a thing.
Anybody know the timing of these events from prior experiences? I’d assume the PFT is conducted in the morning hours.

It all depends on your interviewer. My DS had his interview first followed by his PFT.

Consider it your first sacrifice made in order to serve. God's creatures will be in the woods waiting for you the next day (said the avid hunter back in the day).

The Marine Corps works in mysterious ways.

Well of course, this comes first, I have plenty of other days/years to hunt, but I was also wondering the time the PFT and Interview would be held, I naturally assume that it would be in the morning hours; at least start. Do these events usually take all day?

No one here knows when your interview would be. You need to check with whoever gave you the date. DS's was in the PM after school and took 2-3 hours. I imagine it depends on each interviewing officer's schedule. If you're not early, you're late.
