What do the PFT scores look like for midshipmen who were selected for the Marine Corps?

Let’s just say being a PT stud or studette is advisable. To select Marine Corps, there is a separate set of tests. No doubt the physical standards are rigorous.

Perhaps a current or recent mid will pop up with specifics.

I would say 275 and above. A current Mid might be able to chime in and provide another perspective.

I'm confident Hoops is correct. When NROTC DS went to OCS they weren't allowing anyone with a PFT below 275 to attend.

I would say someone would be selected with a First Class score with everything else being solid. The expectation though for an officer is always in the upper tier of 1/C. If selected for the Marine Corps you will have a class second semester thar is taught be a Marine and meant to help prep you. PT is a part of this to monitor Marine selectees and council those not meeting the standard.

Thank you for all the insight! I’m just wondering cause I applied for the Marine scholarship and the academy and i’m almost set on becoming a Marine. I currently run a 272 pft, so i’m just trying to gauge where I should be by the time I get my service selection.
