Kid was somewhat concerned about his PFT scores as a c4c.

The raw scores sounded awfully high, but is there a scale of some sort for him to compare to?

What triggers "reconditioning", what is "average", and is there recognition for some sort of top 25% or 10% or what have you?

Any info is appreciated.

You get placed on recondo if you have a 250 or below or if you fail two sections of the pft. If you get the min. for all five sections of the test you will not pass. As for averages Im not certain, but most people I ask got around 325 during the pft we take at the end of basic, but I do not know an exact figure

PFT scoring

Thanks flyers - he was taking score as a percentage and thinking he'd made the corresponding letter grade. Hope all goes well for you.

OOOO so he was worried about his grade!!! Sorry, I read it wrong, I'm not sure how the grading system works, they never told us

Get 450 on PFT in the fall, and you validate it, meaning you won't have to take it until next fall. To get "recognition", in terms of athletic achievement, you need to get 3.0+ on your PEA, and you are put on the A Director's list, and are rewarded. PEA is calculated by PFT, AFT, and PE grades - not simply PFT alone.
