Phone Calls?

Yap. Took over his account. Maybe I should open another account. Didn't think too much about the username stuff that could confuse people.

I agree that it is wise to be cautious on the internet, but I can't imagine taking over my kids' Facebook/forum accounts and continuing to post under their names. They would be livid.

Mine won't let me "Friend" them  I kind of don't want to any who...I don't want to raise my BP knowing everything about them.

This account was opened only in May. I don't think he posted much here before taking off and I didn't think I was going to either. But you know, I posted a question I got some answers. Quickly # of posts accumulated, particularly after the Beast had started. I have since made it crystal clear that I have "transformed" into a parent. I am going to say that again (just did).

I don't post on son's FB account but have password. I just blocked his page to his friends only so people won't get confused when cross checking identity on facebook.

The confusion grew over your requesting to join the West Point Moms fb group, and the name I clicked on obviously belonged to a kid. The picture that went with it was a letter from West Point.

Understood. A kid with a kid at West Point? No.
Also, he was rejected April 30 since WP had enough appointments and nobody was coming off of that National Wait List he was on.

I'm confused. Here you say that he was reject April 30 and on the previous page you said that you do have a son at WP.

"They say never use real names on the internet. Please keep that in mind.
To answer your question, yes, my son is at WP.

Something strange may be afoot here...

A little strange indeed. It is like the more I explain, the more there is to explain. Sorry if I drift off from the topic: the phone calls. Here is my son's first post, lol.

I got the appointment May 5th as well.

I was a previous reject: emails April 29th-May 4th. Before that time, I did not receive a letter to tell me that I was on a national waiting list.

My particular case is very struggling. I didn't get the nomination from our rep. I called in Nov and in Dec last year and was told my name wasn't on the nomination list. Then 4 days before the Feb 28 WP deadline I received my nomination. The letter from the rep said I was selected for my "second choice" Navy. I didn't select Navy and had no second choice.

So I was very late. I heard the class was more than full before they even took me didn't know it was true.

That was true. My admission officer mentioned that I would have been admitted in normal situations but this year the class was full already (Forbes rating?) so I had to wait. Later, in the rejection email he made me feel less painful and provided encouragement. I then went ahead and paid deposit for another University.

I read somewhere that they gave out many LOA's earlier this year. Plus the acceptance rate was also crazily high. So I gave up hope, there was just no room for me. Don't know what happened in the very last moment I got a call, then email, then another call. No matter what had happened, I am so happy and am pretty sure you and I are the last lucky ones they took this year.

Congratulations and nice thread.
