Pilot Slots

Sure nothing is absolute. Of course you can fly fixed wings from the Navy. Just the number of choice you have on fixed wing in the Navy vs Air Force is smaller. And the type of fixed wing aircraft you get to fly in the Navy during your career is less than the Air Force. This is strictly based on discussions with 30 year pilot veterans in the Navy and the Air Force. Navy also doesn't seem to guarantee fixed wing nor rotary. It depends on the class pipeline and your rank and what's available at the time student pilot graduates are being assigned. I know some kids are so fixed on certain aircraft and fixed wing, that seems to be out of one's control even if you graduate top of the class in your cohort.

Only thing you can control is to do your best in every training and every assignments. And don't forget to show your enthusiasm and be a true team player and have the right EQ!
