If I attend Kings Point, I will probably run cross country. I have heard something as to registering with NCAA before I am eligible to run. Should I wait to do this when I find out that I am accepted/LOA?

For NCAA purposes, you are not a prospective student athlete.

"A prospective student-athlete is someone who is looking to participate in intercollegiate athletics at an NCAA Division I or Division II institution in the future."

It is not required for D3 sports, only D1 or D2.

Are some Sports Division I at KP? Are there any Div II's?

Division I

Most sports are Division III, but sailing is Division I. Regarding cross country, you should address your questions to the X-C coach.

Cross country is a D-III sport at USMMA. Our daughter is on the team and did not have to register with the NCAA in advance. However, it is a good idea for you to contact the coach now. If nothing else, he will answer any questions you have. :thumb:
