Hello everyone,

I am currently in the PLC program as a ground contract but I am switching into air with a ASTB waiver (my last attempt I got a 5/5/5). does anyone have an idea as to how difficult will it be to get selected with a waiver on my record?

for more information, I have a 3.48 GPA, a 274 PFT, and around 6 extracurricular activities.

A 2-year old news story, but I doubt much has changed since then:

"Our continued pilot shortfalls are a factor we must consider and either scale programs of record accordingly or implement a sustainable, affordable solution," Berger said. "Other services face similar shortfalls.

"A spokesman for the Marine Corps said that as of March, the service was 800 pilots short of its goal of 4,000 for all aircraft types."

That's a 20% shortage. Wow.

Did you ever get that waiver? I’ve been fighting for the one point waiver after scoring 50 6/5/7 last attempt. I was told it doesn’t exist anymore by my OSO but I’m hearing conflicting stories. Just got selected for ground with a 295 PFT but would love to try and get that waiver if anyone can confirm it’s real!
