please tell me

Sounds like Good News for you!!

Hmmmm... I checked DoDMERB earlier today (Friday) to find:

Admissions status change date: 12 Mar 09

Before the date reflected sometime in January. Also, the staff member from my MOC's office left a message saying she had good news. I had presumed she was referring to AFA, but perhaps it is USNA??? Wait and see I guess. I wasn't able to reach her Thursday or Friday.

Hey I don't want to jump the gun but it sounds like very good news and from my son's experience with the status change on his DoDMERB page and then the letter he received...this is very good news!! We're waiting with bated breath so please share the news when you receive it!! :shake:

I was able to reach my MOC staffer today. She gave me the good news. Offer of appointment to the Naval Academy should be sent out today!

Excellent news!!! Congrats!

Now you can breathe again :)

Thanks! Thankfully I have been able to breathe for the last two weeks, when my AFA appointment arrived, but this definitely feels very good!

Right, I forgot about that.

So now that you are in the position to chose, which SA is it going to be?

Right now, more than likely AFA. Really because that is where I first wanted to attend, and Colorado is close to my heart. I believe I would fit in at both places and would find a good career in both services. I'm signed up for AFA orientation, so it would be nice to go on a USNA CVW so I can get a good feel for both schools.

buffalo I'm in the same situation. My status changed on march 12 as well to qualified. Now I'm 3Qd with a nom and it says loa on my sub agency. So now I have to somehow wait "patiently" until hopefully good news arrives. Tough choice for you. I initially applied to both but since both grandfathers went navy I went after usna

when is the latest notification of whether or not one receives an appointment.

srpayne10 they say a majority of candidates will be notified by April 15 of their appointment or denial. Yet they also say that it can be extended beyond that date for some cases that are still under review. So to answer your question, April 15 usually or late as May

Congratulations on your appointment
