Looking ahead to fall...
Can someone enlighten me on the typical plebe access while visiting during home football weekends?
Am I close with the following guesses....
Don't expect to see your plebe prior to Saturday game.
After halftime, plebes will be able to visit you inside stadium.
With a loss, don't expect to see your Plebe after the game.
With a win, plebe may have liberty until 10pm that night.
Don't expect to be able to visit your plebe at all on Sunday after game.
Thanks for the feedback.

Plebe life for mine this year: liberty after games (several overnights granted but had to back to sign Taps before we could get him). Can take a banked overnight if approved earlier in the week. Sunday is yard liberty so must see him/her there (but often just a quick lunch because there is much studying to do).

Before home games-fun to watch them form up and march over either from yard or entrance to NMCS.

Saturday town liberty if not taking an overnight is until 2359

As of last year, during half-time, plebes were not allowed to come to your stadium seat but you could meet them on the concourse. Also, if they have watch/duty on the day of the game, there will be minimal time to see them period, as they must return to USNA directly after the game.

Pretty much true. Although we did meet DS prior to game to get his bag on one occasion when he was coming with us after the game (a company mate signed him out). Games typically start around 15:30 and the Mids are lining up by something like 14:00 to walk over to the stadium. Even on non-game weekends liberty doesn't start until after noon meal formation.

After halftime, plebes will be able to visit you inside stadium.

Not at your seats and generally not on visitors side of the field. Upperclass can send them back to MID area if they see them hanging out....

As 2018midmom says, town liberty until 23:59 even if they lose!

With a win, plebe may have liberty until 10pm that night.
Usually get 'meritorius weekend' with a win so liberty until Sunday at 18:00 or, on three day weekends, could be until Monday at 18:00.

Don't expect to be able to visit your plebe at all on Sunday after game.
If using an overnight, we usually tried to get DS back by 13:00 or 14:00 to take care of homework, etc. Otherwise like 2018midmom says, not much visiting on Sunday....

Our family has been sponsoring MIDS for 18 years now. I can say that at every HOME game we always saw our MIDS. JShawshank is dead on with observations.

So today I guess we had better get about the business of securing season tickets and a parking pass, if that is possible. Would appreciate any advice about whether there is a particular part of the stadium Plebe parents should try to get tickets. I know I can call the ticket office, but I would love to hear from parents who have been there.

Upper Blue above where the Brigade sits is always fun. Sec 107 area. Great views of goats, cheerleaders, Bill the Goat, backs and tops of mid heads, plebes doing push-ups, D&B in the middle of it all, Navy end zone. Easy walk down to concourse behind where mids sit.

Blue side of stadium is the side Mids sit on. Gold is behind the visitors bench. Gold gets more sun than the blue side (bring sunglasses). Makes it hotter for the first few games, but adds quite a bit of warmth during the colder games. My season tickets have always been on gold side, but that is personal preference. It allows us to face the Brigade and see what is going on. Blue side makes quick visits with your Mid easier. Its personal preference.

Saw our Plebe this year before, during and after the 2 games we attended. He chose a company tailgate over an invitation to go to dinner with us, but I took that as a good thing. We are only 2 hours from Annapolis so we are fortunate to have more opportunities to see him during the year.

I was always able to get tickets either on Stubhub or through the Alumni Assoc. re-sale site (I think). We live in the Midwest and could only make it to one game per year. One time I even bought tickets in the parking lot just before the game.
