Plebe Validation Testing

I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of the rigor and format of the validation testing during plebe year? Is it like the AP exam or something completely different? I'm asking because I have a couple language courses that I can't take AP's for.

Got usna.edu and search AP... every class is different, but validation is done for most classes during plebe summer. Good luck
