I'm a current plebe at USMA, and I am very open to taking any questions you all have. This site was very helpful for me last year. I will do all I can be to help others just as much.
Learning to balance the crazy schedule. Between classes, duties, drill, working out, and finding time to relax, it can get a little crazy. What is the most difficult thing about Academy life for you?
Of courseI have a question. Is my son, also a plebe, studying hard? Lol.
Pull-ups. Literally. Get good at pull-ups, running, and push-ups. You will do all three almost every day (running for sure every single day). Also, are there any realities of USMA that differed from your expectations, and in what way? What do you suggest we do to physically prepare ourselves before plebe summer? (I heard someone joking about holding the push up position for hours and hours)
Central Ohio, three people from my district got appointments (all from the same congressman).I hope you don't mind me asking where you got your nomination from geographically?
I actually tried out for the team and didn't make it... But I'm sure I have met your DS. The climbing team is awesome!! They are some of the best cadets. My DS is interesting in the Climbing Team. Are you part of the team?
Can you tell us what season you can participate? Is it year around?
How hard is it to make the team?
How demanding are the practices and the game schedule?
If you are on the team, do you have to participate in other athletics such as company club sports?
Maybe! I probably know your son, especially if he goes to church or OCF because I'm friends with most of themWill you try out again next year? My son is on the team and absolutely loves it...they do practice a lot. They get passes and go to the gunks and also spend spring break climbing.
