Police Record?

I have already been accepted and have sent in my record to the USNA as they asked (it didn't have anything on it). However, today a cop took down my name and address for an incident report. I didn't get in any kind of trouble, but I am scared that it might affect me in some way. Is it possible that this could negatively affect me? Again, I didn't get in any trouble and all that was taken down was my DOB, name, and address. Thanks!

Were you at fault or just in the area? How bad? Are we talking "I was standing there with a bloody knife" or "I watched a car hit another car?"


If you didn't do something seriously wrong, you'll be fine.

I was going to ask a girl to prom by carving "PROM?" into a tree in hopes she would see it while we walked by it at a park. The cop said that it wasn't a big deal so I didn't get a ticket or anything, its just that it could have been destruction of property to the tree.

If you weren't arrested or cited, then as far as the legal system goes (and as far as security clearances) it never happened. That close brush, though, should remind you that it doesn't take much to screw things up!
