Portal Access

I know DS has access to USAFA portal bc he submitted summer seminar application. He wasn’t accepted but he has rec’d communication that he’s competitive and should continue with the process when it opens up in July. I know DS has access to USMA portal bc he submitted SLE application. He can log in, see it’s still pending, and can see the different sections he’ll be adding onto and building when he starts that application also in July. My question is with USNA’s portal, DS doesn’t seem to have access like the USAFA and USMA. He applied to NASS and was accepted but is the portal access just for the 2021 applicants? When we accepted for NASS, he was given a candidate # but didn’t have to access a portal, but rather a link embedded within an email. DS has tried to use the portal link on USNA Admissions site that says “Cont to previous application” but to no avail. That’s why I’m thinking USNA’s site is different and 2022 candidates do not have anything set up yet, regardless of whether they applied for NASS. Could this be the case or am I missing something?

You are correct. Based on the past, assuming he is deemed a viable candidate, he will receive an email notifying the opening of his portal for applying to USNA in May. That is when the current applicants for class of 2021 being told to change their log in for the portal as well.
