Just recently, my portal updated with new things in the overview under new sections titled: "Offered Appointment" and "Admin Kit." I've already accepted the appointment given in the portal. I'm just curious if anyone else has gotten to this point.

Thanks for any information you can give!

Congratulations on getting the appointment. I am assuming all items needed for you are checked ( nomination, CFA Med)

I am sure others have been offered appointments, especially if their elected official nom slates were submitted early, they were eligible for a service-related nom, or are prior enlisted not going to MAPS, and others. Historically, we have seen roughly 10% of a class post here during any given cycle, so much depends on whether they are SAF users.

This is the usual time for the appointment spigot to start flowing.

Well done!

If you have an offer of appointment, head on over to the thread below and grab the first-to-post-on-SAF slot. Read the guidance at the top, or look at link to Class of 2024 Appointment List.

Just did it! I remember closely looking at the list last year to see people from my state being accepted. It's surreal to be able to have my spot on there now. Good luck to all on your journey to appointment!

I noticed that back in July, in referencing the LOA you had just received, you wrote:

"Then it tells me to complete what I have left which is the CFA, DodMERB, and Nomination."

Since you've now been formally accepted to the academy, I take it to mean that as of early October you've already received your Nomination. Is that correct?

I thought the Nomination Interview process hadn't even begun yet, much less awarding of Nominations.

Major congratulations, but is there some reason you are aware of as to why your MOC awarded you a Nomination so early?

Go look at the USMA appointment thread for class of 2025 that was just started yesterday. This candidate, now appointee, has kicked off the list with his #1 entry. Type of nom is listed.

It is not uncommon for non-MOC noms to already show in portals, and the SA is ready to make a decision.

I’m reading service connected And not an MOC nomination. Below is what was posted...

1) KoSnakeKo / Self / LOA / 07-Oct-2020 / Accepted / NC / Service Connected / Direct Appointment
