Possible addition to profile activities?

Hi! I've been reading these forum posts for quite some time now, and today I finally made an account. I'm a HS senior applying for an appointment for USNA class of 2018. All I have yet to do for my profile is submit my essay and then everything is finished (waiting for possible nominations). I'm wondering if it is a good idea to inform my RD of a county spelling bee that I was in in 8th grade - seems too long ago and probably seems silly emailing him about it. Wondering what you guys think.

Welcome to the forums! I know for AROTC applicants only activities during your 4 years of high school can be listed. I honestly wouldn't worry about it.
