If she takes the USAA or NFCU career starter loan loan down the road, and the unthinkable happened, that policy would pay off that debt, as well as any other debt, with leftover perhaps shared among siblings for their savings. SGLI has no military duty or combat exclusion clauses, as most “civilian” life insurance policies do. No matter what you are doing, your designated NOK gets it. I always recommend taking a lesser amount now, increase as needed later on.
they actually re-fill this out each year. mine called me this year (youngster) and she said do you remember what I chose last year - I said let me look on the paperwork, since I kept a copy everything - she did the max - it is so cheap and we just decided, you never know what will happen.

Bring it. Label it and put it in a ziploc and label that. They should give you time to get it. If they don’t, you can ask for it. Their job is to push you and train you. But it’s also their job to ensure you remain healthy and take care of you.
Does the permanent retainer (wire that fitted to the bottom teeth) need to come out before reporting on I-Day?
Talk to Admissions thru chat. In our case, DS retainer was removed two weeks prior to iday to avoid hiccups.
