I recently (2 days prior to this post) accepted my appointment to the Naval Academy and I was wondering when I will receive more information in regards to I-Day and other pertinent information regarding the academy. Any knowledge about this is greatly appreciated!

There are dozens of posts about this starting around this time every year. You will receive a Permit To Report (PTR) package, not sure if it is still paper or now or partly online. Forms, To Do items, what to bring.

Search for the “Handy Links” thread here in the USNA forum.

I posted a PTR link from a previous year below. They don’t change much, so you should wait for yours, but it will give you a good idea. Ensuring you have a birth certificate, passport, etc., and some other basics is a head start.

It says HERE :
"Parents and plebes, congratulations on your appointment to the Naval Academy. You will receive your Permit to Report package from USNA Admissions in April 2020, included will be the Critical Dates and Next Steps brochure from the Naval Academy Alumni Association and Foundation. Please follow the checklist in the brochure for the information needed to process your plebe and parent information along with membership and I-Day picnic registration. Thank you for providing the information, we look forward to welcoming you on I-Day, Thursday 25 June 2020!"

Thank you!

I would definitely work on getting them a passport at the very least. They will need that.

If you are male and you are close to turning 18 or have just turned 18, register for Selective Service. It's the law.

We do not receive the mail. Where did you get it?

That's a link (click on the blue word HERE in that post) to the USNA web page.
