When the 1/c cadets graduate, do they get a defined amount of time off before having to report to their first assignment? I know USMA allows for up to 60 days, and how much time you get is dependent on BOLC and the needs of the duty station, unit etc. Is there similar time off guidance for USCGA graduates? Looking forward to our '23 graduating and thinking about a possible trip. I understand that specifics will be hard, but looking for general guidance or previous experiences. Thank you!

DD reported and another Grad reported before taking their leave. It was a bit messed up for all of the grads of 2020 and 2021 because of covid. They couldnt use spring break to secure housing like others did in the past. Also their boat was going to go under way. It was easier just to report and be under way instead of meeting the boat at another location 30 days later. They used only 14 days of their 30 day leave. most of that time was used to unpack pack arrange shipment of their vehicles visit the grandparents in California.

I never would have thought about the Spring Break housing search.
