Post Night 2022

pretty sure it is but sadly I dont have the link I do remember seeing it somewhere though

I've watched the last few years. Check Facebook and Instagram, they are very good about providing start times as it gets later in the day. Also, I think their YouTube channel will update with the information.

I just double checked and last years Post Night is on their site and was live streamed.

However, cadets who wish for their parents or a group to join them can hand the phone to a friend as they individually walk up to select their post. This was a new live stream event and complicated to produce and no one was happy-because the events are simultaneous.

It is next week but the drama has kicked in among disappointed parents already...in a big way. Again, if your kid wants you in the room, he or she will call you with Facetime & hand the phone to a friend.

We were grateful to dodge another anxiety-ridden event; Branch Night was enough for a lifetime. All who are selected for Cyber go to Ft. Gordon, so there was no Post Night drama for those cadets.

Good luck to the class of '22.

Definitely an undiluted bourbon night for the parents. Hang in there.

Is their “post” drama picking BOLC dates?

I think that’s what cadets going into aviation do. They don’t get posts until close to the end of flight school.

It was a small class of 25. They all went to BOLC (11 months, also at Ft. Gordon) directly after their 60-day post graduation leave, so no drama after Branch Night. I don't know if that is different now or will change as the Cyber cohort grows. Perhaps someone in the current class can confirm or clarify. After BOLC, there was an option to post out but none of our son's group opted to do so, although one of his friends asked a year later to move to an EW post in Washington to be with his Army fiancee and that was granted. All of Cyber is consolidating to Ft. Gordon. Barring something unseen/unknown, our son will remain there for the duration of his committment. Before leaving West Point, his cohort was advised to buy houses as they could pretty much count on staying in Georgia.
