Post PPW week

They never knew they were! Firstie year I had a buddy who was born and raised on the Chesapeake who developed a reaction. He was raised on crab cakes and everything crab related. He wanted to be a SEAL and had done the screener and mini BUDS that year. Medical thinks the shock his body went thru changed his body. He can eat shrimp all day day now, just not crab all these years later.

Speaking of surf and turf I remember being in Iraq at a rather large base for a few days. Apparently they had surf and turf day. We then managed to get mortared pretty badly at dinner. So we were all under the table eating crab legs while mortars landed all around us. We weren't going to have our dinner ruined! Or it could of been we were having 30 mortar attacks a day and we had become numb to it.

Hoops, it could be both! Either way, I am sure they were nothing like the surf and turf we are served on subs! :D

As a military advisor the guys that picked me up in Korat told me they had to get back to the mountain fast since it was Surf & Turf night. Yeah right! But there it was when we got to the chow hall. That Cook was the best. How long did it take for you to run out of Surf and Turf under water for that cruise?

Son just mentioned the other day that they have Surf and Turf every Friday night where he is. Maybe that's just on the AF side of the runway, though. :D

Surf & Turf and great Golf Courses! It don't get better than that.

Too our surprise, we never ran out! We also have a CSCS (Senior Chief Culinary Specislist, aka Cook) who made delicious desserts everyday. Due to watch rotation, four meals are served each day. I remember my belt on my coverall got shorter and shorter during that trip and I had to buy new khaki pants before I can return in my service uniform! :eek2:
