Three quick questions:

1. My DS did his PFA yesterday and his administrator emailed the result form to Cadet Command yesterday. Does anyone know approximately how long it generally takes them to then reflect that in the system such that my DS' file will be complete (Boarded)? I ask because if it will take like a week, my DS will probably ask for the form (signed) and just upload it himself.

2. How long after the First Board meets will results be announced?

3. Based on historical experience, and off a Whole Person total score possibility of 1,400 (250 ACT/SAT; 200 Scholar/Athlete/Leader sheet; 200 interview; 150 PFA; 250 CBEF form; 350 Board decision), does anyone have even a rough guess as to what the cutoff would be for four-year scholarship award winners?

Many thanks in advance!

For my DS, it was just a day, I believe. Once all is in, the file moves to Board Ready, then closes on the 2nd. They meet fir the 1st board on the 9th.... somewhere in there it’ll move to Boarded. I bet the applicants will hear 1-2 weeks after that. Not sure of the cutoff for the first board re:score, but not many are historically given out the 1st round. I wonder if it’ll be different this year, given the two month delay?

Chances are based on the pool of applicants, that we cannot see.
The cut off is determined by the number of scholarships and how many people on the OML.
It is relative. That is why people should submit early. The pool is smallest for the first board (fewest scholarships too).
But if he is "good enough" he might score an award on the first board that he might not get once more people (possibly better) submit the packages and are placed on the OML.

I bet the applicants will hear 1-2 weeks after that.
While that may be true if a scholarship is awarded, if no scholarship is awarded you will not hear from that board. Those not awarded scholarships are rolled over to the next board and eventually, perhaps, to the final board. Be prepared to wait until late March or even April to hear a reply regarding a scholarship. As usual, keep working backup plans so you are prepared to execute them if a scholarship is not awarded. Hoping for the best results for everyone.

The AROTC Site Administrators are very good. DD never had to wait more than 1 day for any document or upload to be approved.
