Potential Pilot Qualified

Hello, I am a reapplicant for the USAFA, I wasn't sure to post this on that thread or here, but last year when I applied I was Potential Pilot Qualified. Now that I am applying again (I opened my app in July) and got cleared medically I'd say last month. My current medical status is now only Qualified and not potential pilot qualified. Should I do something about this? Call dodmerb? Will it play a part in my application since I do know the academy is seeking more of PPQ applicants? Also, nothing since last year has changed about me in terms of medically, so I don't know why it did.
 
I dont think that matters at this point. Once you get into the academy, the issue of wanting to be a pilot will come into play. For Rotc pilots, they are sent in for a full pilot physical that lasts 2-3 days. Once you pass that, you are qualifed to go. And yes, during Rotc, they all do a quickie physical that means almost nothing except you a qualified potential pilot. My guess would be that during the academy you will also get that 2-3 day physical

That's what I was thinking, and that's what I was told when I called dodmerb last year when I applied for the first time and I asked them about my status. I just wasn't sure why it changed to normal qualified.
 
My status changed as well and I am in the same position as you. I think they stopped giving out potential pilot qualifications this year.
 
My son’s originally said potential pilot qualified and then changed to just qualified a couple of weeks later. Not sure why.

Reapplicant or new applicant? And when did it happen? Person above said they might be getting rid of the potential pilot status, not sure. And did it show it on DoDMERB or?
