Hi! This is my first post and I am hoping to get into either USNA or USAFA. I am a 5'2" female and these are my scores for the practice CFA that I took today:

Basketball: 43 ft
Shuttle run: 9.4 sec
Pull ups: 8
Sit ups: 93
Push ups: 50
Mile: 7:14

Should I take the CFA this week or train for a couple more weeks to get my mile and shuttle run times down, as well as improving my basketball throw? Also, any basketball throwing tips would be great. I have tiny hands!
Thanks!

Have you gone to the USAFA website to see the averages for females? Guessing USNA’s are similar. You’ll be pleased. Especially those pullups!

Do you think that the pull ups will balance out the slower mile time?

Again, look at the published averages and draw your own conclusions. This is your call to make, with data that should be very enlightening to you. And remember that CFA is 10% of the inputs evaluated.

I would take it now if I were you. Your scores look great nice job! If you wait to take it there’s always a possibility you could get hurt especially if you play a fall sport.
