Pre-Candidate Questionnaire

Hi all,
I am being recruited by USAFA for cross country and track and field and the Academy is my top choice as of now. I have a 3.84 GPA (my school has an extremely small weighted scale so unweighted is 3.82) and I am an overall good student and a well rounded person in all AP and Honors courses I can take. I scored 1280 on my SAT the first time I took it and I just took the ACT, I feel like I didn't have a great day on my first SAT but I am wondering if I should wait to retake the test before I submit my pre candidate questionnaire. I can take the SAT again on March 10th, and I should have my ACT scores within a few weeks, or if I will be able to be granted candidate status with this current score and possibly update it later.

Maybe the coach who is recruiting you would have the most accurate answer. I am no authority on the matter but I think you would probably be fine scorewise for the pre candidate questionnaire. The actual application is much more in depth and you will want your best scores before completing that step, as well as the nomination packets. You are still early enough that there is no urgent rush yet if you wanted to wait.
 
Definitely check with your recruiting coach. The Track Coaches are USAFA are AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! Not only do they have one of the top-notch Track and Field Programs in the nation. They were super helpful with providing guidance during the Pre-Candidate all the way through the application process for my DS.
