My name is Josh,
Im a Freshman in high school, and have a few years till I need to worry about WP, but I figured its never to early to start.

I play hockey (I dont know if this would help)
Honor student
Active in school and outside of school activities
Community service
Interns at a state Reps office (Will this help me)

Im quite aware I need a Referral but will a state rep help?

It would be great if i could have a list of things I need to focus! I have 4 years to prep.

God Bless America,
Josh

Keep up the sports and other athletics. Seek out a team captain role ate the appropriate time. Take the toughest class load (AP, honors, etc) that is available while maintaining good grades. Stay active in other activities you enjoy as well as community service. It never hurts to know a state rep whether it helps in terms of recommendations or not. Seek out leadership positions but be a good and productive follower when that's appropriate.

Read all the stickies on these forums.

Don't forget to enjoy your high school experience. Get involved in activities you enjoy and be sure to show commitment to those activities. Commitment and leadership is more important than getting involved in too many things.
