I understand that someone can receive a presidential nomination if they are a child of a deceased or 100% disabled veteran. What does 100% disabled mean?

If the Veterans Administration grants a 100% disability rating either upon retirement or going in front of a medical board and being medically retired. Just going by my soldier, who just went through retirement and disability exams last yr. You can also receive a presidential nomination if you are the DS or DD of a retired or AD soldier. Good Luck.

Presidential nom is also for children of active duty and retired as well as qualifying reservists (check academy website for qualifying reservist status).
