So I fully qualify for the presidential nomination and I was curious to know if I automatically get it as long as I send in all documentation needed. It doesn't seem like I need to provide a resume or anything. Just seems too good to be true. I tried looking through old threads to find the answer but couldn't. Thanks!!

If you have filled out the PDF form for a Presidential Nomination found at Apply to USNA :: Admissions :: USNA, and have included the supporting documentation requested in the form, you will automatically receive a Presidential nomination. Don’t stop with that nomination alone, however. I encourage you to apply for all nominations that you are eligible for. Nomination sources are listed in the enclosed link above. Good luck and go get ‘em!

It's worth noting that while there are unlimited presidential nominations, only 100 are charged each year to that category.

Also, it's available for West Point and USAFA, not just USNA.

Yes, the Presidential is a non-competitive, simple eligibility nom. All who qualify will get it, which could be several hundred applicants in any given application cycle. As noted above, only 100 appointments in the class may be charged to this nom source.

USNA encourages applicants to apply for as many noms they can. For most, this means at a minimum 2 Senators, 1 Representative and VP, plus any other categories for which they are eligible. If USNA wants to offer you an appointment, having more noms increases their flexibility as to where to charge the appointment, if offered.

I echo the above. Many years ago, I had a great candidate who was turned down. When I asked why, I was told one of the reasons was that the candidate had only applied for a Presidential nomination. They didn't like the fact the person didn't make the effort to apply to MOCs and this also restricted their ability to charge the candidate to any other source. In short: a Presidential nom may be all that you need, but don't count on it.

Unless it's changed, USNA also takes it. My DD received it through USNA though did not receive an appointment.

Merchant Marine and Coast Guard do not utilize it.

Yes, in agreement. I was trying to highlight the fact that it is also available for West Point, USAFA as well as USNA and to check each admission website.

Coast Guard doesn't require nominations and correct Merchant Marine doesn't utilize.

Is it 100 Presidential nominations per year across all of the SAs or 100 for USNA, 100 for USAFA, and 100 for USMA?

100 SLOTS for each DoD academy. Unlimited number of Nominations though.

If a person qualifies for a Presidential Nom...he/she will get one. Only 100 are charged to each academy. So only 100 will be appointed using a Presidential Nom.
