Presidential Nomination

So I was notified today (finally!) of the status regarding my presidential nomination. Here is what I got from my counselor:
"I updated your file with the Presidential Nomination. I didn't get here as counselor until the end of September so, it was overlooked. You are good to go now. You also received a nomination from [MOC]."
Problem is, it is not on my portal. Is that just because she just updated it today, and it should pop up tomorrow? Or will the portal only show the first nomination I got?
Also, merely out of curiosity, since she didn't update it until today, could that have affected the EA decision for my application?

We talked earlier, but seems like your portal is lagging with the nomination status as well as mine. I guess there is a lot of activity going on and they only can upload so many at one time (since they are manually uploaded I believe). Plus there probably is also an overwhelming amount of activity going on with there servers this month (coming out of the holiday season, EA appointments, nomination month, and 7th semester transcripts) Like I stated before, it has been almost a month and a half of me waiting for my nomination to show up into the portal. My counselor said they he cannot upload the nomination for me into my file, and there is a whole separate department that deals with uploading the nominations.

I could be wrong but I am pretty sure your portal will display all your nominations once they are received and uploaded.

And yes, not having a nomination in your file could absolutely impact your EA decision. Since my principal nomination wasn't uploaded in my portal yet I was expecting a deferral. Best of luck to you again, I am discovering that patients is virtue while waiting for the nomination status to be uploaded.

Presidential nominations are entered by the counselors after all supporting paperwork is received (and may take a little time to show up).

Congressional nominations, however, are entered online by the staffers themselves and will show up on your portal within a day or two of submission. If you have been waiting for six weeks for your nomination to appear, then there is definitely something wrong.

I don't think it increases your chance to get an appointment that's up to the academy. However, it does give the academy the flexibility to which you one you'll get charged to. It's that puzzle thing PIMA described to you, you have 3 edges right now and the academy (if they want you) is trying to figure out what edge to use.
