Anyone have any idea the timeline when they start awarding those who have presidentials? Hoping it's not really late in the game

BFE with Presidential Nom

DS received his appointment today, out of the blue. He has a Presidential nom -- a Congressional one, too, but this has not yet shown up on his portal and Admissions suggested that maybe our Congressman has not submitted the slate yet. So, we're assuming he got the appointment with the Presidential nom.

I got mine wicked early...like first round of boards (Oct-Nov) under a Presidential nomination which was before any of my congressional nomination possibilities even finished their selection processes. Depends on the strength of your file and how admissions sees the class being shaped.

Casey, you mean you received your nom? My DS has his not I just meant appts. From the pres nom

Interesting, last year PNs were in March if I remember correctly. I guess my point is, even if you see appointees receiving theirs now, don't assume anything.

Casey is Class of 2015, so she received her nom 2 years ago.
When she was applying, WP used rolling admissions which is why she was able to get her appointment as early as she did. Back then, some of the first appointments went to those with Presidential noms.

This year can not be compared to 2 years ago since WP has done away with rolling admissions. It changed the whole game. Therefore, don't compare this year with 2 years ago or more. This year is more akin to last year when rolling admissions was first done away with.
