So I received a principal nomination from my congressman and also received word from my liaison officer that my status is competitive. Not exactly sure what this means but it sounds exciting. Any one know what my chances are based off this information?

Competitive doesn't mean anything in your case principle and qualification is a guaranteed acceptance

Most competitive candidates end up becoming qualfied so your chance is pretty good. Status determination of "competitive" is made base mostly on your academic and leadership accomplishments as the determination is based on your application input. It usually doesn't factor in your medical qualification or CFA (unless you attended SLE). So unless your bombed your 7th semester, medically qualified, and passed CFA, you are more likely to become qualified than not qualified.
